The
series of annual reports commissioned by the International
Hockey Industry Association (IHIA) captures and analyzes
sales of hockey protective equipment, hockey sticks and
replacement blades and hockey skates shipped to Canadian,
U.S and International retail accounts in a calendar year. A
new category has been added this year, Goal
Protective/Stick/Skate/Masks.
Total
industry-wide sales of the categories mentioned above are
presented for you to analyze the markets and your
individual-company market share in various hockey equipment
categories at key price points. This summary allows you to
analyze total sales by category for each world market.
The analysis and development of this report is completed by
a research firm employing the following methodology:
Hockey Suppliers are asked to report all sales delivered to
Canadian, U.S and International retail accounts during the
calendar year. Sales are reported on the basis of net dealer
cost. All sales that are reported "net" of all discounts and
appear on the price line appropriate for the "net" selling
price. Closeouts are reported on the "net" basis as well.
Individually coded questionnaires are prepared and
distributed by the research firm - with direct input and
recommendations from the IHIA and its research committee.
Suppliers return the completed questionnaire to the
Chartered Accounting Firm where the data is consolidated and
audited to the specifications and guidelines of the Research
Firm. Industry-wide totals are presented in this report by
category and price point.
This report has been prepared exclusively for the
International Hockey Industry Association.
To
better understand the report contents you will find an
example of last years table of contents, followed by an
example of how the products are broken down.
